Our Board of Advisors is an independent advisory Academic Board that ensures creation and maintenance of high quality academic standards and related matters.

Dr. John Tholen
CEO of Asia Pacific Biotech Pte Ltd, Hong Kong

Dr. Tholen has a Bachelor Degree, Double Major, in Chemistry and Biology, University of Wollongong, Australia. He took his M.Sc. in plant natural products at the University of Wollongong, Australia. His Ph.D. was in the subject of renal hypertension, taken at the University of New South Wales, Australia.

Dr Tholen has an outstanding portfolio in scientific project management having pioneered several major industry developments in Asia Pacific from start-up onwards, generating US multimillion dollar revenues for the stakeholders. He has over 20 years experience in applied research spanning the chemical, agricultural and healthcare sectors. For the past decade, he has held senior executive appointments with prominent public and private organisations in Singapore and China, driving international business developments through strategic planning and operations management.

Professor Roger J.W. Truscott
University of Sydney, Australia, Director of the Save Sight Institute

Professor Truscott is a world authority on the understanding of human cataract formation. He holds the prestigious role of Director of the Australian Cataract Research Foundation, University of Sydney. His knowledge of biochemical processes is extensive as evidenced by his numerous publications regarding plant natural products and degradative pathways in the human lens. Professor Truscott, with over twenty years experience in applied research, earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Melbourne before embarking on a Fulbright Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Stanford University (USA).
