The London
Teacher Training College Certificate in TEYLT is recognised by the
International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL),
the International Association of TESOL Qualifying Institutions (IATQI) and
the TEFL Board.
TARGET
PARTICIPANTS
The London Teacher
Training College Certificate in TEYLT is aimed at those wishing to
extend their knowledge and skills gained with a teaching award such as
the LTTC Diploma TESOL. It is particularly suitable for kindergarten
teachers, primary school teachers and tutors and for those wishing to
enter the profession. The Certificate in TEYLT provides insight into
teaching English as a second language to young learners (aged 4 to 11)
and teenagers (aged 12+). The course addresses how they learn
language and the activities, techniques and interactions suitable for the
learning situation.

This course is
delivered in Singapore in our
well-equipped TESOL training centre at 44A Club Street. You will
experience an exciting combination of lecture/workshop
delivery, discussion, role-play and self-study.
ASSESSMENT
Assessment is by an open-book examination.
Examination scripts are sent to LTTC where they are marked and the
Certificate
is graded (for grading criteria, refer to
Course Information).

English native speakers who are well qualified and have long experience in teaching English to foreign
students and in TESOL/TEFL training in countries including Singapore, Malaysia and

We also invite speakers who are practising teachers
of young learners and teenagers to add practicality to this course.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1. A
certificate or diploma-level award in TESOL/TEFL, or equivalent, that
includes in its syllabus the natural acquisition of language by young
children.
2. A
good level of English for the environment in which the candidate will
teach.
3.
Age - Young
adults to retirees are eligible. Please enquire if you are under
21 years old.

DELIVERY AND DURATION
24 hours classroom study by one
three-hour evening class a week on Wednesdays, over 8 weeks, plus 3 hours
examination
plus minimum 33 hours of private study, total course commitment of 60 hours. For

1000+ volume library, able to borrow from an extensive range of books on TESOL/TEYLT and

Course fee: S$662.50.00 (reduced to S$562.50 for graduates of the LTTC
Diploma in TESOL by study in our school)
LTTC Registration / examination fee: S$160
