The London Teacher Training College Diploma
in TESOL is
a recognised and valuable qualification for entering the global world

Korea, Vietnam, India, Nepal, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar and
Indonesia. They are working in
language schools, government schools, international schools, tuition
centres, business schools, management training, bank training, developing
country relief work, community programmes and some are starting their own
education projects.
The course aims are:
1.
To understand
how language is acquired
2.
To understand
what constitutes error in language acquisition

4.

5.

which methodologies can be used to teach English
6.
To know
how to use materials and aids to teach English in the class
7.

a class
8.

Our course is
delivered in Singapore in our
well-equipped TESOL training centre at 44A Club Street. You will
experience an exciting combination of lecture/workshop
delivery, discussion, role-play, self-study and teaching development and practice. We also give participants guidance and assistance in
entering teaching through our extensive contact network in schools in
Singapore and other countries in SE Asia.
There are four modules. They are taught
independently so you may start the course at any module.

Teaching Practice
We provide the opportunity to teach real
foreign speakers of English in teaching practice sessions during the
course. These foreign speakers of English have come from countries
including China, Myanmar, Japan, Russia, Argentina, Turkey and Indonesia.
This teaching practice prepares you better for teaching in the classroom.
Practicum Lesson
The assessed practicum is a 45-minute
lesson which you will deliver to a class of foreign speakers of English, nationals
from countries such as China, Myanmar, Japan, Russia, Korea, Indonesia..... The practicum lesson, its
development and rehearsals are highly valuable, helping you to be really ready for
teaching in the classroom. The results of your practicum appear on your
transcript. However, they do not contribute to the grade of the Diploma.
ASSESSMENT
Assessment is by four open-book examinations, one for each module.
Examination scripts are sent to LTTC where they are marked and the Diploma
is graded (for grading criteria, refer to
Course Information).
TESOL TRAINERS
Our TESOL trainers are
English native speakers who are well qualified and have long experience in teaching English to foreign
students and in TESOL/TEFL training in countries including Singapore, Malaysia and
Myanmar. See About Us
